Our students have the opportunity to take Laser Learning Awards, this is a credit-based, national awarding organisation, recognised by Ofqual.
We follow the LASER's Independent Living qualification suite is available at Entry 1, Entry 2 and Entry 3 and comes in Award and Certificate sizes. The qualifications are designed to develop and foster life and learning skills. These qualifications are 'nested' qualifications (i.e. credits achieved for an Award can contribute towards the achievement of a Certificate). Appropriate for learners with learning difficulties or disabilities the qualifications are available to learners of any age. At each level there are 8 pathways for learners to choose from in each Award:
- Accessing Community Facilities
- Employability Skills
- Household Skills
- Learning Skills
- Leisure Activities
- Personal Care
- Personal Development
- Rights and Responsibilities
Where appropriate our students can continue on to Entry level 3, Level 1 and 2 qualifications in Laser LEAP.

Our students have the opportunity to gain an Arts Award called Discover. Arts Award Discover is an introductory award, designed for ages 5 and above, but is open to children and young people aged 25 and under.
To achieve an Arts Award Discover, children and young people collect evidence in an individual arts log of their experiences of:
- participating in arts activities
- researching artists and their work
- sharing their arts discoveries
